Product Description
The Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift-Up Projector Screen is a fully automatic fold-up screen that rejects ambient light. A remote control is provided that will cause the screen to rise up from its compact container. This floor-up screen has high contrast, excellent colour, and a wide viewing angle.
Two sizes are available 100” and 120”. Lastly, The screen is designed for ultra-short throw projectors. The special screen material has tiny V-shaped grooves that reject any light coming from the room lighting.
Easy remote control or trigger input
You can control the unobtrusive Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift Up Projector Screen with the provided IR remote control. Moreover, the screen has a standard 12V trigger input that can be used to automatically raise the screen when a projector or AV amplifier is turned on.
Black grid screen rejects ambient light
The Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift Up Projector Screen has a micron scale grid structure on its black grid screen. This tends to block light from above while providing a good reflection from the lower-placed projector. Compared to a flat white screen the image has a much higher contrast ratio and a brighter picture. Interestingly, early Cinerama wrap-around displays also had a louvered screen for the same reasons.
140 degree viewing angle
The viewing angle of the Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift Up Projector Screen is 140 degrees so you always have the best seat in the house. The image brightness and quality does not drop off towards the sides.
Why a Projector and screen?
A projector and screen setup can be far less obtrusive than a large-screen TV. The screen can be hidden away behind furniture when not in use. It can then be deployed automatically when the projector or AV amp is turned on. Moreover, the viewing angle tends to be wider than with OLED or LCD TVs. Another advantage is no trailing leads. Most projectors have built-in sound and some have Dolby Atmos built-in.
This provides a 3D sound effect by angling the built-in speakers so that they bounce the sound of the walls and ceilings. Moreover, you can also use the Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift Up Projector Screen in the ultimate home cinema system. This would use architectural speakers that are built into the walls and ceilings. Along with a Dolby Atmos AV receiver.
